In 2024, I read a bunch of tech and tech-adjacent books. These were my five favorites from last year:
Nobody Cares About Your Career: Why Failure Is Good, the Great Ones Play Hurt, and Other Hard Truths by Erika Ayers Badan. *Great mix of career advice with the behind-the-scenes of running Barstool Sports
Special Characters: My Adventures with Tech's Titans and Misfits by Laurie Segall. *I heard the author speak at Mom2.0 and had to get the book immediately, it did not disappoint!
Uptime: A Practical Guide to Personal Productivity and Wellbeing by Laura Mae Martin *The author has probably the coolest job on the planet - she works as Google as a productivity expert (!)
The Future Built by Women: Creating a Brighter Tomorrow Through Tech and Innovation by Brooke Markevicius *Loved this optimistic read - and I got a shout-out in it!
Burn Book: A Tech Love Story by Kara Swisher *Inspired me to start this newsletter
Happy break-from-screens reading about…. screens!
